Learning Styles
All students have their own preferences when it comes to learning.  Some students need to see it, others want to hear it, and some just don't get it unless they can use their hands or involve movement.  Anytime students are forced to confront new information, learn a new skill, or do a task in a new way, they will instinctively try to learn, understand, and master this new information or task in the way that is most comfortable to them.
Â
However, when it comes to studying, many students will try to use methods or strategies that range from less effective to downright counterproductive. Â Therefore, we have created this learning styles page to provide links to short inventories that can help students not only better understand how they learn, but this knowledge will help them to learn and study more effectively.

This site allows students to take a quick 20-question quiz that will let them know whether they're a visual, auditory, or tactile (hands-on) learner.
