Jeans for Jason Fundraiser Results

During National Suicide Prevention Week (9/7-9/10/2021), the faculty and staff of Summit Parkway Middle School raised $159.00 in our Jeans for Jason fundraiser. For a donation, faculty and staff could wear jeans for the week. The recipient of our fundraising efforts is the Jason Foundation, which was started by Clark Flatt in the wake of his son's death to raise awareness of youth death by suicide. The mission of the Jason Foundation is to the prevent "the 'Silent Epidemic' of youth suicide through educational and awareness programs that equip young people, educators/youth workers and parents with the tools and resources to help identify and assist at-risk youth."

Below is a picture of some faculty and staff who participated. #WEPROTECTTHENEST!
